SILVA IBANEZ ABOGADOS (“SIA”) ADVISED BENCHMARK HOLDINGS PLC (“BENCHMARK”) ON THE ACQUISITION OF THE ENSENADA FACILITY FROM AQUACHILE

Silva Ibanez Abogados (“SIA”) advised Benchmark Holdings plc (“Benchmark”), an English company leader in the aquaculture health, nutrition and genetics business, on the acquisition of the Ensenada facility from AquaChile, which gives Benchmark control of the salmon breeding operation previously belonging to the joint venture it had with AquaChile. The Ensenada facility is a highly bio-secure hatchery situated in the Los Lagos Region, with good access to spring water required for the production of high-quality eyed eggs suitable for the Chilean industry. In addition to the asset purchase agreement, SIA drafted different ancillary agreements to perform the transfer of the different assets involved in the transaction.
